Kathy Graham is the President and Founder of The HQ Companies, Inc., a group of four firms focused on positioning the right professionals in the right areas to enhance corporate growth and career progression.  She is an alumni of North Central College with a BBA in Marketing and an alumni of The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business with an MBA in Analytical Finance, Econometrics, Finance, and Statistics. 

Kathy is a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange, an invitation-only organization comprised of women leaders in finance; a Director for The University of Chicago’s Alumni Club of Chicago Board of Directors; a Partner and Chair of “At the Workplace Initiative” for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s Money Smart Week®, a national campaign to increase consumer financial literacy; and is active in numerous other notable organizations. 
 

Hajara Al Amodi is a businesswoman and investment manager. CEO and Chairwoman of Al Amodi Avenues. She works in investments and private equity, in the USA and Asian markets, buying and selling private businesses, public securities and also has a large real estate portfolio.She was a founder and CEO of an IT company named Waadi Corporation, which she grew successfully to multi-million dollars in revenue. Her experience also includes leading and managing technology projects and multi-million dollar budgets, with a focused approach to risk management for private ad government organizations. She is a board member at companies in the tech and real estate industries in the US and India. A minority herself and passionate about bringing diversity in the boardrooms, Hajara, also works with the research committee at 30% club in the Middle East, which is focused on building more research, and creating opportunities for women and minorities in the boardrooms, in GCC. She often speaks, writes and delivers presentations on diversity, business, investment management, technology and also guest lectures. La’Shon Anthony is the owner of visuals4u, a consulting practice for small business owners and nonprofits.  She’s also the Community Leader of ABI.Chicago, the local chapter of the Anita Borg Institute.  La'Shon is a writer, mentor, and a speaker in the Chicagoland area on business-related topics.  She’s a founding member of the 2020 WOB Chicago Campaign, an Advisory Board member for Project Education Plus, and received Tech While Black’s Achievement, Professional Excellence, and Impact (A.P.I.) award in 2015.

Deborah Bornstein is a business litigation and antitrust lawyer at Freeborn & Peters LLP, with more than thirty years’ experience representing companies, company officers, Board members and individuals, in antitrust, regulatory, fiduciary and other complex matters. She is AV Peer Review rated by Martindale-Hubbell (highest rating), is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network, and for numerous years has been named an “Illinois Super Lawyer.” 

She has served on several non-profit Boards, including twelve years as a Board member for the Legal Assistance Foundation of Chicago, with service as President and chairperson of the Audit, Labor, and other Board Committees. She was given a special Award for outstanding and dedicated service to the poor of Chicago and to the goal of equal justice for all. She has a JD from the University of Chicago and Bachelor’s from Bennington College.
 

Sonja Brisard is the Founder & President of Business Accounting Matters, Inc. (BAM) BAM handles the daily/weekly/monthly/annual bookkeeping (QuickBooks), bill pay, and payroll processing tasks business owners hate doing themselves.

Prior to starting BAM, she had a successful twenty-year career at Navistar in accounting and finance.  Sonja holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Sonja is a member of local Chambers of Commerce, past Treasurer and Financial Secretary of Jack and Jill of America Inc. – Windy City Chapter, Co-President & Treasurer of the Morgan Park Academy Parents Association, NAWBO, past VP of Finance of the University of Chicago Women’s Business Group, and Metropolitan Family Services – Calumet Center board member.

Cindy Burrell is the President of Diversity in Boardrooms, a consulting and search firm for Corporate Boards and Advisory Boards (or Councils). She is a Board Director and Founder of the Private Directors Association. She was honored in 2011 by the Chicago Association of Minority Recruiters (CAMR) for her success in recruiting women and minorities to both corporate and advisory boards. 

In addition, she is an Advisory Board Member for two companies: Skytop Strategies and for Victoria Legal + Corporate Services.  She is a Lifetime Member of NAWBO. She has a Master’s degree from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree from DePauw University.
 

Barry is the Managing Principal for Amuleto Advisory, LLC, a consulting firm that works with family-owned businesses to construct strategic action plans that give further growth and development of the business, its leadership and family business ownership, management and succession. 

Barry is an experienced corporate director of both private and public companies targeting improved organizational growth and performance, A valued contributor to several boards, Barry draws upon a rich background as a strategic, results-focused senior management executive, attorney and business advisor. His board service has included participation on audit, governance and advisory committees.

Barry has a unique talent for bridging companies together to form domestic and international partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances to create competitive advantages and strong, sustainable growth. He has significant proven ability to structure, negotiate, implement and integrate M&A transactions and enhance corporate cultures. Barry is a broadly published author, speaker and facilitator in the field of family business planning, and co-founder and director of the Chicago Family Business Council, a major university-affiliated support network to business owners in the Chicago metropolitan area. 

Deborah L. Cohen is editor-in-chief of Middle Market Growth, the national magazine of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). She develops and oversees a range of print and online content ranging from articles to panel discussions and other multimedia.  From 2005 to 2009, Cohen served as an officer and board member of the Chicago Headline Club, the nation's largest chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

A business journalist since 1996, Cohen previously worked as an editor on the national business desk at Thomson Reuters. Earlier, she was a correspondent for Reuters, Crain's Chicago Business and Bloomberg News, covering industries including fast food, manufacturing and telecomms. Her work has appeared in BusinessWeek, Smart Money, Success, The ABA Journal, American Banker and other publications.

 

Jerri is a leader in the financial services industry, focusing on community development lending and passionate about helping small businesses and their communities succeed.  She previously served as Chief Credit Officer of Seaway Bank and Trust Company in Chicago, which was the largest African-American and woman-owned bank in the U.S. with over $300M in assets.  Jerri’s prior experience includes managing distressed asset portfolios, lending, credit analysis, and underwriting at Heller Financial, GE Commercial Finance, and ShoreBank/Urban Partnership Bank.

Jerri is a graduate of Florida A&M University and received an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.  She is the former Chair of the Economic Development Committee for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Chicago Alumnae Chapter and is a current member of the Portfolio Committee for Accion Chicago, a CDFI and non-profit that provides capital solutions to greater Chicagoland entrepreneurs.

Andy Feltovich is a Vice President in Northern Trust’s Global Risk Management function.  His team is responsible for independently validating the Bank’s models for consistency with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.  Prior to joining Northern Trust in 2016 Andy held positions at KPMG, The Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, TransUnion, and HSBC. 

He holds a BA in Political Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a MA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designations, as well as four programming and statistical modeling certifications from the SAS Institute.  He is currently a student in DePaul University’s Financial Planning Certificate program as well as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Level 1 candidate.  He is an active member of the Executives Club of Chicago, the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and Toastmasters International.

Rita is a business and technology executive with proven success leading innovative technology transformation and business functions in a global, consumer product focused industry.  She is a respected leader recognized for building an organization to execute company strategy, leading to enhanced financial results and customer loyalty.  With 25 years in the industry, Rita gained extensive business experience in regional and global roles, leading IT, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Shared Services functions.  She led large IT organizations through major acquisitions, several divestitures, a split of $50 billion company, and most recently an acquisition of Kraft Foods by 3G/Heinz. Her personal leadership style is described as driven and courageous leader, delivering sustainable breakthrough results with passion for developing talent and inspiring collaboration.

Rita holds a Bachelor degree in Math and Computer Science from University of Illinois at Chicago and a MBA from DePaul University. 

Kina Guyton is an experienced marketing leader who specializes in delivering exceptional consumer products and experiences that exceed company goals.  Kina has crafted the brand strategy for both emerging start up brands -BORBA and Bare Escentuals - as well as some of the world’s most recognized brands such as Colgate Toothpaste and Walgreens.  Currently, at Topco Associates, Kina extends her creative and content experience along with brand management as Senior Director, Brand Management and Design.  In 2016, in addition to leading Walgreens brand efforts, Kina was selected as one of eight executives for the inaugural Entrepreneur in Residence program for Prohaus VC – a global venture collective supporting the social impact startup community.  As a consultant to a FinTech startup, Kina leads the operating model and growth hacking strategies prior to launch. 

Kina earned an MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business and a Finance degree from American University.

Emily Harris was Executive Director of ADA 25 Chicago and now directs its legacy project ADA 25 Advancing Leadership, creating a pipeline and network of leaders with disabilities to contribute to the civic life of metropolitan Chicago. She is also Senior Director at the Chicago Community Trust, working with its Disabilities Fund and other equity and inclusion initiatives.

She was Vice President of Metropolis Strategies, leading research and policy programs in regional economic growth, open space conservation, early childhood education, and serving as Executive Director of the Burnham Plan Centennial.

Past positions include Principal of Harris Strategies, LLC, specializing in strategic planning; program director for Leadership Greater Chicago; Executive Director of the Canal Corridor Association; and Vice President of ActiveLife Retirement Communities.  Emily is a fellow of Leadership Greater Chicago, has a B.A. from Oberlin College and an M.A. from the University of Chicago.

 

Bridget is an innovative communicator who specializes in digital, media, and content marketing. With 16 years experience activating successful cross-channel communication strategies in healthcare, finance and the nonprofit sector, she excels at engaging customers in meaningful ways to achieve business goals.

Currently the Director of Digital Marketing at Easterseals Headquarters in Chicago, Bridget provides day-to-day leadership for the digital content team responsible for Easterseals’ national website, SEO and SEM, national social media channels, email communications, and digital best practices for 75 local affiliates. 

Before joining Easterseals, she served as the Associate Director of PR and Social Media at Valence Health, and prior to that, she built and executed social media strategies from the ground up for both the American Dental Association and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. She began her professional career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

Bridget is a 2017 ADA 25 Advancing Leadership Fellow, and a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. She holds an MA in Visual Culture from Lancaster University, England, and a triple BA in English, Journalism, and Public Relations from the University of Northern Colorado.
 

Shirley Hogsett is CEO of Destiny Speaks, a boutique Speakers Bureau and Speaker Marketing firm that provides marketing, management and development services for a select number of Professional Speakers, Thought Leaders, Culture Influencers and Solutionist in the areas of Business Leadership, Health and Wellness, Education, Entrepreneurism, Public Leadership, Creativity, and Youth Empowerment.  Destiny Speaks works with business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals to prepare and position them to use public speaking as a marketing tool to grow their business by establishing them as an expert in their industry.

Shirley has 20+ years in the meetings and special events industry.  Her experience and knowledge in the meeting and events industry has enabled her to book her speakers at some of nation’s most prestigious universities, corporations and professional associations.  In 2010 Shirley was named among Who’s Who in Black Chicago and in 2011 she received the Business Accelerator Step-It-Up Award which was presented by American Family Insurance.  Shirley hast previously served as Director for the Chicago Chapter of Public Speaker Association, President of the Bellwood (IL) Chamber of Commerce and Industry and volunteer with Year-Up Chicago.

She has earned degrees and certificates from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Women's Business Development Center, George Washington University and Events Solution, and Project Blueprint – Board Candidate Training from United Way Metro Chicago.

Leslie Krohn has spent more than two decades leading communications and marketing at the world's most admired and respected companies.  From start-ups to global multinationals, Leslie has transformed marketing and communications functions in times of economic boom and bust, growth or decline.

In 2009, Leslie took on a role leading integrated marketing for Nielsen’s $1 billion North America Buy business.  Leslie’s responsibilities focused on building and protecting the company’s reputation, increasing awareness of the company’s solutions and capabilities, driving client engagement through traditional and digital events, and delivering thought leadership content across diverse digital platforms.  In 2015, Leslie added commercial responsibility, with a cross-industry client base spanning CPG, retail, healthcare, financial services, automotive, professional services and non-profits.

As a leader of Nielsen’s Women’s network, Leslie was able to raise awareness for gender issues in the workplace, from pay inequity to equal opportunity.  For International Women’s Day in 2016, she leveraged her role as the leader of the Harris Poll (part of Nielsen) to conduct a nationwide study on these gender issues, which then First Lady Michelle Obama asked that Harris Poll expand the research for the United States of Women conference in June 2016.

Before joining Nielsen, Leslie led internal communications for the Sara Lee Company.  She spent five years building a communications and marketing function for a new business at General Electric.  From inside a web consulting firm as their Director of Marketing, Leslie spent a year riding the dot-com roller coaster up, and subsequently was on board when it crashed the next year.   She was schooled in thought leadership during her five year tenure at Accenture, and learned the basics of all things marcom in her first role as a jack-of-all-trades marketer for an industrial trade association.

Leslie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from the University of Notre Dame, and her Masters of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.  A Pittsburgh native, Leslie has now lived in the Chicago area longer than anywhere else in her life.  A firm believer in the value of cross-cultural exchange and communication, she has hosted nine (9!) au pairs to date.  She enjoys introducing her two daughters to the rest of the world, and discovering new ice cream places near and far.

Ann Linton is a seasoned client service professional, who has worked her entire career for institutional investment companies such as Aetna, The Hartford, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and Chicago Trust Company.

Ann is now the U.S. Sales, Marketing and Relationship Manager for ECS Global Inc. a global software company.  Ann is the President and one of the founders of the Chicago Financial Women organization and on the board of Private Directors Association.  She speaks regularly regarding women and finance, including for the University of Chicago's Smart Women Securities Chapter and the Chicago Women Advisors Forum. She is also a longtime volunteer tutor for the Chicago Fourth Presbyterian Chicago Lights program.

Molly Louthan is a Workforce Strategist for Upwork by day and a tireless promoter of women with every spare moment she gets.  She has an extensive background in technology where her passion for helping women started when she saw the steady decline of women CIOs. She launched a non-profit organization called ARA in 2013 with the mission to increase the number of women leaders in technology.  She next branched outside of technology and started the local group of Advancing Women Executives.  She was able to dive deeper into coaching women at the top level when she realized there was a lack of women in leadership and on boards across all industries.

Molly attended Miami University where she received a BA in Marketing. Her motto and brand: She empowers people to be fearless and ask for what they want out of life!

Martha McGuire has over 25 years of corporate finance experience in the financial services industry. She has led and directed teams of professionals in building commercial loan and lease portfolios for banks such as Wachovia, Huntington and BOK Financial.  Currently, she is Executive Vice President, Capital Markets & Lease Finance, for First Bank of Highland Park.  She is one of three members of the bank’s Investment Committee and serves on the Asset/Liability Committee and Retirement Plan Committee. 

She is currently Board President-Elect for the Chicago Finance Exchange, an invitation-only organization comprised of women leaders in finance. Previously, she served as Board President of the YWCA of Chicago and was a member of the Kellogg Alumni Council (2006 – 2011), which represents the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She has an MBA from Northwestern University and a BBA from Southern Methodist University.

 

Ann Rieder, CFP® is the Founder and President of Regatta Wealth Management LLC, a financial planning and investment management firm based on Chicago’s North Shore. Her firm focuses on strategic investment management with a personalized approach to financial planning including counselling multi-generational families as they address the financial goals of each generation.  With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ann served as Managing Director at Hightower Advisors and Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, where she led top private client and corporate services branches across the country.  Ann is active in her community, as she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Career Resource Center in Lake Forest.

Kate is an assurance partner at RSM US LLP with more than 13 years of experience related to public accounting industry, primarily focused in the financial services sector.  She has experience with a variety of industry participants, including broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, business development companies, private equity funds, hedge funds and commodity pools.  Kate is responsible for serving clients, developing the firm’s financial services audit methodology, and providing consultations and quality reviews for engagement teams.

Kate is very active in diversity groups.  She is a board member of ASCEND, the nation’s largest Pan-Asian business professional organization.  She also serves as the national leader of InspirAsian, RSM’s Asian employee network group, comprised of over 400 members.  Kate received her BA and MS in Accountancy from University of Illinois-Champaign and is a certified public accountant.  
 

Karen Staib Duffy has been a thought partner and collaborator for greater success for over 15 years. Her specialty is Developmental Coaching, with a focus on Strategic Coaching - practical and performance-based, and Ontological Coaching - concentrating on the development of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Leadership skills. Combined, they offer individuals and teams the opportunity for transformational learning and quantum leaps in development.

Typical clients include C-level, EVP, SVP and VPs, managing directors, senior client partners, directors, and other senior executives in large corporations, non-profits and academia in a wide range of industries. Karen is adept at working concurrently with multiple layers of leadership within an organization, maintaining confidentiality and trust at all times. She has coached teams within one $500 million healthcare analytics company for more than 10 years. Her focus is on long term results as she moves leaders to improve their current performance, prepare for promotion, and move into new roles and higher levels of responsibility.

Karen has a global presence, having worked with executives in the US, England, Germany, Spain, Poland, Russia, Luxembourg, Greece, Austria, and Singapore. Clients include executives and teams at IBM Watson Health, Shire, CME Group, Truven Healthcare Analytics, Baxalta, Ernst & Young, Korn/Ferry International, The Tribune Company, Thomson Reuters, Sears Holdings Corporation, YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science, and Computer Sciences Corporation.

Karen is an Ontological Coach, certified through Newfield Network’s Coaching for Professional and Personal Mastery (CPPM) and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation. She has an undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. Before establishing her own firm, Karen specialized in finance for over 20 years and was a Managing Director at one of Chicago’s leading financial institutions, Banc One Capital Markets (now part of JP Morgan Chase).

Currently, Karen is affiliated with The CEO Roundtable, the University of Chicago Booth Alumni Club (former Board member), International Coach Federation (ICF), and ICF~Chicago Chapter.  

Laura joined the Chicago office of Brownson, Rehmus & Foxworth as a Vice President in 2014, and was elected Principal of the firm in 2016.  Previously, Laura worked for almost 12 years at Prudential Retirement Services, starting as an investment consultant in 2001 and progressing to Vice President in the Investment Advisory Services unit. Prior to joining Prudential, Laura founded an asset management firm in 1991 servicing high net worth individuals, foundations and pension plans in Rochester NY and continued to manage her business after relocating back to Chicago in 1994.

A Chartered Financial Analyst and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Laura earned an MBA from Northwestern University and a BA with honors from the University of Chicago. A board member of VNA Foundation since 2013, Laura was elected to the Executive Committee as Treasurer in 2017. Laura has also served the United Way of Metropolitan Chicago since 2007, currently  Chair of the Retirement Sub-Committee and member of the Finance Committee. An active member of CFA Society of Chicago, she served as a board member 1998-2004 and Chair in 2002-2003.

Mark Trembacki is the Founder of Risk Management Levers, Inc., a firm focused on assisting companies with risk management (cyber security, enterprise risk management (ERM), liquidity, operational, fiduciary, market, and reputational), mergers and acquisitions (M&A) integration, and global change management.  He gained this knowledge during his career at BMO Financial Group (Bank of Montreal) where he managed 200 employees and directed key ERM initiatives across numerous business units and risk types.

Mark is a qualified SEC Audit Committee Financial Expert and National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Governance Fellow.  He earned an MBA in Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BS in Accounting with Highest Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Mark is a CPA who received the Elijah Watt Sells certificate for scores in the top 1% nationally.  He completes his Cyber Security Management Graduate Certificate from the University of Virginia in December 2017 and is registered for NACD’s upcoming CERT Certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight.

Mark is also currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign teaching Enterprise Risk Management in the Masters in Finance program and serves as Vice Chair of the DuPage Children’s Museum and is a Chicago Historical Society Board trustee. 

Rebecca Wing is an internationally experienced CEO, COO, General Counsel and Financial Crisis Management Expert.  Her global employment experience traverses multiple continents and countries to include Europe, Eastern Europe, United Kingdom, Canada, Latin America, China, Australia, Mexico, Middle East, BVI, the Caymans, and the Bahamas.   She is a corporate board director for Sleeping Bear Inc., a privately held manufacturer, and a board director and corporate secretary for LW Lands, Inc., a real estate developer and investor.  

As part of a corporate governance initiative, Rebecca was selected as a member of the 2009 Class of DirectWomen Board Institute, which was created by the American Bar Association to identify and develop Board Director Candidates for major publicly-held corporations.

In 2013, she was selected as DiversityMBA Magazine Honoree: “Top 100 under 50 Executive Leaders”. She achieved a JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Illinois State University.

Christine M. Castellano is the Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer for Ingredion Incorporated, a NYSE listed company.  In this capacity, Christine is responsible for the worldwide management of the Company’s legal affairs. She provides advice and counsel to Ingredion’s board of directors, officers and management, and directs activities of internal and outside legal counsel around the world.  She was named by the Illinois Diversity Council in 2017 as one of the Top 15 Business Women in Illinois.  In 2017, Christine received the Anti-Defamation League’s Women of Achievement Award.

Kelly Chambliss is the General Manager and Managing Partner of the Industrial and Distribution Sector within IBM Global Business Services (GBS) North America.  Previously she served at the Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for IBM GSB and started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting, where she was a global Partner.  Kelly graduated from Virginia Tech with a Management Science degree, Decision Support Systems specialization.  She was one of three IBM participants in a CEO-sponsored Joint Leadership Development Program with five other firms with 100+ year histories.  A former member of IBM’s Strategy Team guiding IBM’s global course, Business Insider recognized Kelly as one of 17 employees in 2015 setting IBM’s new direction and Fortune recognized her as one of the Most Powerful Next Generation Women, noting her deep STEM commitment and leadership.

Ana Dutra is the President and CEO of The Executives’ Club of Chicago, a world-class senior executives’ organization.  Previously she was the CEO of Mandala Global Advisors and the CEO of Leadership and Talent Consulting for Korn/Ferry International.   Ana received her graduate degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, a graduate degree from Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management.  Her new book, Lessons in LeadershiT: Detoxing the Workplace, discusses how to identify and manage toxic leadership behaviors so that those leaders do not negatively impact your career growth and how to avoid such behaviors in your own leadership roles.  

Venita Fields is a Partner and runs the Illinois office for Pelham S2K Managers, LLC, a firm with a $100M Limited Partnership providing junior capital/private equity investments for privately held middle market companies.  Previously, she was a SVP at Bank of America where she structured/closed/managed $2B in automotive, aviation, environmental, food, industrial manufacturing, retail, and service sector investments.  Venita has a MM and a BA from Kellogg/Northwestern University.  She is the current president of the Chicago Association for Corporate Growth and an active Private Directors Association member—an organization responsible for numerous corporate board connections, including the introduction of Venita to one of her boards.

Phil Flynn joined Associated Bank in 2009 as President and Chief Executive Officer.  He brings more than 30 years of financial services industry experience to Associated Bank.  Previously, Phil held the position of Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Union Bank in California.  During his nearly 30-year career at Union Bank, he held a broad range of other executive positions, including Chief Credit Officer and Head of Commercial Banking, Specialized Lending, and Wholesale Banking activities.  Phil serves on a variety of boards, including the Green Bay Packers, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee Art Museum, St. Norbert College, and Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce.

Steve Fussell is Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for Abbott Laboratories.  Prior to Abbott, he held human resources leadership positions at Nestle and Shell.  Steve is Chairman of the Board and President of the Clara Abbott Foundation and a board member of the Abbott Fund.  He is and author and speaker on a wide variety of subjects and has served as a guest lecturer at Cornell, Northwestern, and other universities.  Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University.  In 2010, he was named to the HR Honor Roll by Human Resources Executive magazine.

Donna Glass is the Managing Partner of the Industry Program for Deloitte Advisory, Deloitte & Touche LLP.  She has almost 30 years of combined experience in the investment management sector, and has advised many of our largest financial services clients.  Prior to leading the Industry Program, Donna led the Financial Services Industry practice and the Investment Management practice within Advisory.  She also leads Deloitte’s relationship with a global investment management company.  Donna currently serves on Deloitte’s U.S. Board of Directors.

Eileen Kamerick is a National Association of Corporate Directors Board Leadership Fellow and SEC Financial Expert who earned an MBA, with honors, in Finance and International Business and a JD from The University of Chicago. She teaches corporate governance and finance at leading universities.  Eileen is featured in The Board Game: How Smart Women Become Corporate Directors.  Directors and Boards named her as a 2016 Director to Watch.  Eileen is an Audit Committee Chair for Hochschild Mining plc’s and Legg-Mason Closed End Mutual Funds, plus is Associated Banc Corp’s Corporate Governance Committee Chair and former Audit Committee Chair.

Kunal Kapoor, CFA, is the CEO of Morningstar, Inc., a firm he joined as a data analyst in 1997 and continued his growth into leadership positions:  director of mutual fund research; part of team that launched Morningstar Investment Services; director of business strategies, international operations; led Morningstar.com®, global products, data business, Morningstar.com®, and the client solutions group; and was the President and Chief Investment Officer of Morningstar Investment Services.  He was a Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40 and served on the board of PitchBook.  Kunal earned an MBA from The University of Chicago and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Jerry Krulewitch is the EVP, General Counsel, & Secretary for McDonald’s Corporation globally, overseeing the Firm’s global legal, compliance and regulatory teams and working closely with McDonald’s independent Board of Directors as their liaison to senior management.  Before assuming his current role in 2017, he spent 15 years with McDonald’s in various leadership positions.  Jerry earned a BS from the University of Illinois in Accounting and a JD from the Northwestern School of Law.  Jerry was a litigation partner at Winston & Strawn and a decade as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Illinois.

Lyle Logan is an EVP and Managing Director for Northern Trust Corporation’s Global Financial Institutions Group.  He’s also Chairman and CEO of The Northern Trust International Banking Corporation.  Previously at Northern Trust , Lyle was Managing Director, Institutional Sales and Client Servicing and SVP, Personal Financial Services—Midwest.  Formerly, Lyle worked at Bank of America (Continental Bank) where he held several leadership positions as a SVP in the Private Bank and Domestic Portfolio Management Group.  Lyle holds a BA degree in Accounting and Economics from Florida A&M University and an MBA degree in Finance from The University of Chicago.

Debbie is a Managing Director of the Center for Board Effectiveness, which is committed to supporting executives, Boards of Directors, and others active in governance by providing them with resources pertaining to current boardroom issues and governance trends.  She engages with Deloitte’s large, complex clients to expand and enhance relationships with board members and associations by developing the Board Opportunities program and identifying synergies across programs.  Debbie, a licensed CPA, was formerly Deloitte’s Deputy Managing Director of their Energy and Resources practice, which included Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Alternative Energy.  She is based in Washington, D.C.

Kay W. McCurdy is Of Counsel with Locke Lord, LLP.  During her tenure as a corporate and finance attorney, Kay represented numerous firms regarding their financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, executive compensation, and corporate governance.  She earned a BA in Speech and Economics from Bradley University and her JD from The University of Chicago Law School.  Kay currently serves as Chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee at Arthur J. Gallagher & Company and on the boards of the Chicago Chapter of The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), and various nonprofit organizations.  NACD has named Kay a NACD Governance Fellow every year since 2010.

Jesse H. Ruiz is a partner at the law firm of Drinker Biddle & Reath where he focuses on business transactions.  He received his JD from The University of Chicago Law School and his BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Jesse’s very active in the community, including currently serving as President of the Chicago Park District Board of Commissioners and previously serving as VP of the Chicago Board of Education.

Donna Smith retired from Associated Banc-Corp as Executive Vice President and Head of Corporate Banking where she was responsible for overseeing all commercial and industrial business lines of business.  She also served on the Executive Committee where she was the only female business line executive on the Committee.  Donna holds an MBA in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Donna is a member of NACD and the Private Directors Association.  She was named to the American Banker’s list of the Most Powerful Women in Banking in 2014 and 2013, recognized as one of the Top 25 Women to Watch and named as a 2017 Director to Watch.

Gilda Spencer is SVP, Deputy General Counsel in Dispute Resolution Services for Allstate.  Before Allstate, Gilda was VP, Chief Litigation Counsel for Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company.  Prior to Nationwide, she served as Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio.  Gilda was selected as a 2015 Chicago United Business Leaders of Color, which recognized her for driving global competitiveness through demonstrated, effective leadership.  She is a director on The Ohio State University Alumni Association board.  Gilda is a graduate of The Ohio State University and earned her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she served as President of the Black Law Students Association.

Dany St-Pierre is the President and Founder of Cleantech Expansion, LLC, a consulting firm that advises CEOs, investors, and entrepreneurs on mergers and acquisitions, project opportunities, and due diligence in the renewable energy sector.  Prior to starting her own firm, she was a Strategic Sales and Marketing executive for major global corporations, including Siemens and Bombardier.  Dany earned her MBA in International Marketing from Université Laval and holds dual citizenship in the U.S. and Canada.   She also currently serves on the Executive Committee and as Treasurer of the Board of Directors for the non-profit trade association, Women in Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRSE—formerly Women of Wind Energy).

Lisa Wardell is President and CEO of Adtalem Global Education and has been a member of Adtalem’s board of directors since 2008.  She’s the only African-American female CEO currently in the Fortune 1000.  Prior to Adtalem, Wardell was EVP/COO for The RLJ Companies.  As COO, Wardell managed The RLJ Companies portfolio, including strategic partnerships, M&A, business strategy, operations, and finance.  Prior to The RLJ Companies, Wardell was a Principal at Katalyst Venture Partners, a private equity firm.  She earned her BA from Vassar College, her JD from Stanford Law School, and her MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
